New Work: Kim Kardashian’s True Reflection campaign…
I just went on youtube and noticed all of the makeup tutorials on the look I created for Kim’s new True Reflection fragrance ad campaign. Wow, you guys are so quick! LOL. Great job to all of you that made the videos. It was a great experience working on that shoot – I loved creating the old Hollywood-inspired look on Kim. Paying Homage to American Icons
This is a fashion editorial I worked on for Virgine Magazine , entitled “American Icons.” The story features several models – each one was transformed to recreate the iconic images of the past, like the two examples here that I worked on. This feature was shot over several weeks and the photos are brilliant. Everyone from The Beatles to Grace Jones and of course Marilyn Monroe and Brigette Bardot both pictured here with my makeup 
I love doing transformational makeup so this shoot was perfect! One of my favorite shots that I worked on is of Marilyn. Xo Mario
New Ad-Kardashian Kollection shot by Annie Leibovitz
Check out the new Kardashian Kollection ad campaign that was shot by the iconic Annie Leibovitz! Working on set with Annie was amazing. Aside from her extraordinary talent, she is incredibly sweet and a pleasure to work with.
What do you think of the shot? I worked on Kim’s makeup for this campaign and went for a clean, classic look using very natural shades. This image is my favorite group shot of Kim, Kourt and Khloe. They look amazing and Im so proud of them. If you have not yet seen the “kollection” check it out at www.sears.com/kollection. A look for spring
This image is from a beauty shoot that I worked on last month. Beauty shoots have always been my favorite to work on. Very few things make me happier then a good ol’ beauty shoot, LOL. I gave the model my interpretation of a modern spring look. I was going for a look that was clean and modern, but also strong. I used minimal product and focused on defining her features softly. ELLE BEAUTIES
I recently collaborated on this shoot for Elle Mexico with genius photographer Adrian Nina. The story features ten “new girls.” They are the industries new generation of models, and future supermodels.
I gave all of the girls a clean, light and fresh look. Using Dior makeup, I focused mainly on the skin and with a very soft hand, I defined the eyes on some girls using shadow and stained the center of their lips . There was no bronzer, lashes or liner in site! I think doing this type of natural makeup is more challenging then doing a glam look. What do you think? Xo, Mario
