I just went on youtube and noticed all of the makeup tutorials on the look I created for Kim’s new True Reflection fragrance ad campaign. Wow, you guys are so quick! LOL. Great job to all of you that made the videos. It was a great experience working on that shoot – I loved creating the old Hollywood-inspired look on Kim. If you haven’t had a chance to see the images or the commercial, take a look at it here. Also, Kim’s fourth fragrance, True Reflection is definitely my favorite scent of hers. Check it out when you get a chance and let me know what you think. Xo Mario
I’ve decided to have a contest and pick a lucky girl to be my model at my August 13th workshop in LA! The winner of the contest will be the model that I give my makeup demo on…I will give her two glam looks AND a photo shoot to top it off! Oh, and I have to mention the gift bags — she along with everyone who attends the workshop will be sent home with the most amazing gift bag filled with hundreds of dollars worth of my favorite products.
For a chance to win all you have to do is send me an email with the following info:

Im so excited to be hosting another workshop for Industry Art Shops! The last two workshops were amazing and I can’t wait for this next one which will be even better! The date is August 13th, 2011 in Los Angeles, CA. Check out the video below from the last workshop if you haven’t already. The workshop is open to all – makeup artists of all levels, inspiring artists and non-makeup artists too… Stay tuned for more info! I will announce my sponsors soon.
Im excited to share this short video with you all! It was shot during my first workshop that I hosted for Industry Art Shops. It’s a recap of the entire day that shows parts of my makeup demo as well as the artist portfolio event and photo shoot afterwards. Hope you like it and I look forward to hosting more workshops/seminars in the near future.
As many of you know, Im a big fan of Josie Maran Cosmetics. A few days ago, while in LA I went over to glam Josie up for the Global Green USA Pre Oscar Party. I did her makeup using only Josie Maran products and we even filmed the whole makeup application for you! 😉 Stay tuned for the makeup video/tutorial! Xo Mario
Every now and then I look through my “vault” of folders that store endless amounts of images of my old work. It’s great to see all the different shoots I’ve worked on over the years, especially the very early images from when I first started doing makeup. When I see the images, it brings back so many memories – both good and not so good, LOL.
I came across this video clip today. It was one my first TV commercial bookings for Head & Shoulders (Latin market). I was SO excited when I got this job. I also worked on the men’s version of the commercial. Doesn’t it make you want to wash your hair? LOL Xo Mario
