Harper’s Bazaar w/ Kim K

If you haven’t already seen Kim on the current cover of Bazaar, make sure you check it out!  Its a great interview that you’ll enjoy.  There are many images of Kim in the story, shot by Terry Richardson and one night I had the pleasure of working on set with the iconic photographer.  The image above is the one I worked on.  I gave Kim a pretty look using Dior products 😉  Hope you like it.   Xo Mario

Get The Face! Kim Kardashian on cover of People Style Watch

I’m sure you have already seen Kim K on the cover of the current People Style Watch.  If not, here it is.    In the beauty breakdown below of her cover look, four of the products I used were mentioned but Im going to give you the complete look!  See below to learn how to Get The Face!  😉 xo, Mario

On Skin – Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer SPF 20 in Sand.

By TERRY Touche Veloutee Concealer applied under eyes.

Skin is set with loose powder. I used La Mer’s The Powder in Neutral.

Brows are filled in with Lancomes Le Crayon Poudre in Brunet then brushed out with the opposite side of the pencil.

EYES-

To get the soft, golden shade on Kim’s eyes, I used Giella’s EYE M GLAM all over highlighter on the eye lids and tear ducts (or inner corners).  I also highlighted her brow bone (right under the brows) using EYE M GLAM.

I swept Motives Eye Shadow in Cappuccino along the crease of eyes for subtle definition.

Under her eyes and/or along the lower lashes, I used Motives Eye Shadow in Toast.  I blended the shadow with a clean brush to get a very soft and natural smokey look.

I lined and defined the top lids with Style Liner by Dior.  I gradually went thicker with the line towards the outer corners.

I finished off the eyes by first curling the lashes then on both top and bottom lashes, I applied Bionic Mascara in Jet Black by Smashbox.

I bronzed Kim’s face along the hairline and on the hollows of cheeks using Cheekers Bronzer in Golden Tan by Covergirl.

To add a bit of glow to the skin I used Fusion Beauty’s Illumifill along the cheekbones.

On apples of cheeks I swept MAC blush in Fleur Power.

Her lips are lined with Josie Maran’s lip liner in Blush.

To add the soft pink color to her lips, I applied Colour Rich Lip Colour in Tickled Pink by L’oreal and finished the lips off with Lip Fusion Color Shine in Flirt.

THANK YOU!

December 4th – SOLD OUT

December 5th – Theres a FEW spots left that they added.  To register, click here.    You can register for the portfolio event OR the general admission. (General admission means you will not be doing makeup on a model for pictures but will be there for everything else.)  😉  XOXOX  Mario

Fatal Attraction – ELLE Mexico

This fashion story from Elle Magazine (Mexico) was just published.  Alexander Neuman, another very talented photographer shot this along with a few other stories in my book.  You may remember when I twitpic’d a model and asked what she had missing on her face?  You can see here that it was her eyebrows.  😉  Blocking out the eyebrows gives a very edgy, fashion forward look.  For this shoot, I wanted the model to look androgynous and somewhat “hard.”

Will anyone try blocking out their brows this Halloween?  If so, i’d love to see pics!  There are different techniques to do this.  I prefer using a bald cap to cover the natural brow.  How would you do it?  😉 Xo Mario

Kim K’s favorite makeup for day & night

In the current issue of OK! magazine, Kim talks all about eyes – taking her daytime look into a night time look and her favorite products that I use on her such as MAC’s liquid liner in Boot Black and the new EYE M GLAM all over golden highlighter that I created!  Pick up a copy of OK! this week for more great tips and check out EYE M GLAM, the product I made that keeps her skin looking gorgeous and glowing!

Kims shares her favorite beauty tip in Glamour Magazine

Glamour Kim K.page 3 Mario

In this months Glamour magazine, Kim talks beauty and shares her favorite beauty tip:  “My makeup artist Mario Dedivanovic, taught me that after you put on concealer, set it with powder on top.  It lasts longer.”

If you havn’t yet tried this and have issues with your concealer staying put or creasing, set it and forget it! LOL.   Use a loose powder a shade or two lighter then your skin or a translucent powder to set.  Apply with a sponge or puff.  Xo Mario

I’m Loving… Urban Decay’s 24/7…

pencils

I’m loving Urban Decay’s 24/7  Glide-On Eye Pencils!  I was at Sephora the other night when I spotted these.  I picked up Lucky, Baked and Honey and love all of them.  They work really well on the inner rims, blend well when you first apply them and stay on all day! Xo Mario

TWIP of the day! To soften a strong eye…

To soften a bold/stong eye, skip the mascara and false lashes.  Try leaving your lips bare too.  Xo Mario
