“Going To Saks” Ads
Here are some images from a Saks advertising job I recently worked on. This shoot was fun in the hot NYC sun, LOL and you’ve got to love Jacquetta Wheeler! She really is an amazing model, not to mention the sweetest person ever. I kept the makeup sophisticated with natural tones and played up the eyes with liner on top and bottom. Hope you like. New Work – K.Michelle’s Fallin’ Music Video
K.Michelle is another AMAZING and crazy talented singer that I recently worked with! Check out her new music video “Fallin” – another Armen directed piece! K.Michelle was so much fun to work with and she had me cracking up all day -she’s hysterical! I don’t need to talk about the voice as you will witness that once you watch and listen to her video below. This song is being played all over and is a hit for sure.
For the makeup in “Fallin,” I gave K.Michelle a soft, smokey eye using some metallics around the lash lines. I finished her look off with peach on the cheeks and golden, nude lips. I hope you like the makeup and the video.

The video below is a behind the scenes from the Fallin video shoot where you can take a look at me “at work.” LOL enjoy!
Making up Melanie Fiona for her “Ay Yo” music video
“Ay Yo!” I recently worked with Melanie Fiona on her music video for “Ay Yo.” It’s a great song and her voice is incredibly powerful and beautiful! She is hands down one of my favorite female artists. This video was directed by Armen – the super talented photographer/video director. I love collaborating with him because I know that the end result will be flawless.
Check out the video below. For her makeup, I used golden, nude and warm tones with focus on beautiful, dewy skin. I Hope you like it and feel free to let me know what you think of the makeup. Xo Mario
Im Loving… Motives Cosmetics by Loren Ridinger
The other day I received a huge box in the mail and inside was the entire line of Motives cosmetics by the gracious and gorgeous Loren Ridinger! (Pics above of almost everything Loren sent me) My assistant and I spent hours testing all of the shades and textures – many of which will now be staples in my kit.
I used the white pencil on set yesterday on a model and it turned out flawless and lasted all day. Today I used a few different gold and warm toned eye shadows on Kim. The pigment and textures are beautiful and I look forward to using Motives more often. Thanks Loren! Xo Mario

Happy Birthday to my muse, Kim Kardashian!

I hope you all enjoy the collage I made. The images are from red carpet events that I did Kim’s makeup for. As you can see, she keeps me busy boy!
It’s amazing to work with Kim for so many obvious reasons, but whats more amazing and most important is that she’s equally beautiful, inside and out. Have a Happy and Blessed Birthday Kim!
Check out the pics here from her party in Vegas. It was a blast! Stay tuned for a “Get The Face” post of her Vegas Birthday makeup . Xo Mario

Making up singer-songwriter Jadyn Maria. Get the Face…
This gorgeous face is Jaydn Maria, a new Universal/Motown artist. She’s a singer, songwriter and she’s got porcelain skin!!! I did Jaydn’s makeup recently for the MTV VMA’s where she walked the carpet with Ne-Yo (pics below) and for some fashion week events. After twitpic-ing and facebooking the pic above, I got so many “get the face” requests. How pretty is she with the pearcing blue eyes, porcelain skin and lips!?!?! Heres how to get the face:
Here’s a cute clip of Jadyn blogging right after we finished makeup: Jadyn Maria on YouTube
