GET THE FACE! kim kardashians wedding makeup *the complete list*

***EXCLUSIVE*** Here it is, finally!  The COMPLETE list of products I used on Kim Kardashian to create her wedding look.  Read below to learn how you can Get the Face!

Kims wedding makeupShe looked like a beautiful Angel at the altar

Giving Princess Kimmy some finishing touches :-)

Skin -

To prep Kims skin, I used The Moisturizing Lotion by La Mer all over the face and neck.

I applied Diorskin Nude Natural Glow Hydrating Makeup by Dior to even out the skin tone.
To cover and highlight under the eyes, I used By Terry’s Touche Veloutee concealer.

I set her makeup using Chanel Poudre Universelle Libre Natural Finish Loose Powder.

Eyes -

I brushed Kim’s brows then filled them in using L’Oreal Paris Brow Stylist Custom Brow Shaping Pencil in Light Brown.

To define and play up Kim’e eyes, I used Lancôme 5 Pan Eyeshadow Palette in Golden Frenzy.  I swept the light golden shade all over the lids and  I applied the darker shade along her crease with a small liner brush.  I used  the lightest shadow on the brow bone to highlight.

Along the lower lash line,  I swept a touch of the golden/bronze shades, focusing more towards the outer corners.

I lined her eyes (top lid only) using Cover Girl Line Exact Liquid Liner in Very Black.  Start out with a thin line at the inner corner and gradually thicken the line as you go towards the outer corners.  Wing the liner up and out.

To give her lashes (both top and bottom)  more length and volume, I applied two coats of Lancôme Hypnôse Doll Lashes mascara in So Black!

Cheeks -

On the apples of cheeks, I applied Lancôme Blush Subtil in Rose Romantique. (A sheer peachy tone)  Smile and sweep right on the apple blending out and up.

To warm up Kims skin and contour her cheeks, I used Guerlain Teracotta bronzing powder. I brushed a bit all along the hairline and  jawline.  I  also applied some along the hollows of her cheeks to contour.

I gave Kim radiant, glowing skin with Giella’s Eye M Glam highlighter.  I applied some along her cheek bones to give a dewey effect, on the bridge of her nose, cupids bow (right above the center of upper lip) and  I also swept it along her decolletage, shoulders and arms. Lastly,  I applied it to the inner corners of her eyes using a small liner brush to brighten and open the eyes.

Lips-

I defined her lips using YSL Dessin Des Levres lipliner in Nude Beige followed by Lancôme’s L’Absolu Nu lipstick in Coral Sand. (A sheer peachy lipstick.)

I finished off her lips by adding a touch of shine with Lancôme La Laque Fever lipgloss in Ravishing Coral. (Very pretty color for any skin tone)

To keep Kim looking fresh from the day and into the evening, I used TATCHA Aburatorigami Japanese Blotting Papers.  (They’re all natural and powder free.)

Hope you all like it!  Give it a try and if you do, please send me the pics ;-)   Xo Mario

Cosmopolitan cover with Kim

How gorgeous does Kimmy look on the cover of Cosmo??  If you haven’t had a chance to check it out you can grab a copy out on newsstands right now!  I love the beauty shot below.  For this look and the cover shot, I used Dior cosmetics.  Look out for a “Get the Face!”  Xo

GET THE FACE! Kim Kardashian’s golden glow

I’ve gotten so many Get The Face! requests for Kim’s red carpet makeup that she rocked at the Unbreakable launch party in LA.  She looked gorgeous as always – her hair was slicked back in a pony tail and she wore all black with beautiful gold detailing on the shoulders.  I wanted the makeup to compliment her whole look and to have a nice overall balance so I went with golden tones on her skin and eyes and blended golds with pinks for her lips and cheeks.  Read on for the complete beauty breakdown as I reveal how you too can Get The Face! ;-)

SKIN-

I started with moisturizing Kim’s face and neck using La Mer’s The Moisturizing Lotion.  I let that settle for about five minutes and then applied Veil Fluid Makeup (No. 3: Sand) by Hourglass all over the skin and blended with a damp sponge.  This foundation gives a luminous, lasting coverage.  Under the eyes, I used By Terry’s Touche Veloutee Concealer in the Cream shade.  I blended a bit on the eye lids as well to prime them for the eyeshadow. To set skin I used a bit of Jane Iredale PureMatte Finish Powder, mainly on the T-zone and over the concealer to set.

EYE  brows, lids and lashes

I filled in Kim’s brows with Brow Tech To Go in Taupe, by Smashbox.  To get the soft, golden shade on Kim’s eyes, first I layered LORAC Tantalizer Baked Bronzer on eyelids and along the  lower lashes. Next I went over it and applied Eye M Glam highlighter (giella.com)  over eyelids, inner corners of eyes and a bit on the brow bones.  Sweep Eye M Glam along lower lashes as well and blend it out to get that smoky golden look.  I defined the upper lash line with By Terry eyeliner in Macassar Brown.  In the waterline or inner rim of the eyes, I used the Eye M Glam all over pencil (available soon) I added a few medium sized individual lashes by Reese Robert (really cool line of eyelashes!) for extra volume and finished off the eyes with two coats of Hypnose Mascara by Lancome on the top and bottom lashes.

CHEEKS-

I bronzed the hollows of Kim’s cheeks, along her hairline, jaw and down the center of neck with Terracotta Bronzing powder by Guerlain. I added a hint of color to the apple of the cheeks using LORAC blush in Pink and swept over the apples and along the cheekbones with Giella’s Eye M Glam highlighter.  I used the left-over highlighter on the brush and applied it down the bridge of the nose and on the cupids bow of her lips.  To add some of that golden glow to the body, I used Sigma’s Body Brush which is plated in 18K gold and has super-soft bristles!  Just dip the brush into the Eye M Glam lid and apply straight to your body.

LIPS -

I lined Kim’s lips with Josie Maran lipliner in Natural and kept the lip shade in the same color family as the cheeks by applying a blend of MAC lipstick in Half ‘n Half followed by Eye M Glam AcryLip gloss (available soon.)

I finished off Kim’s makeup by spraying a light mist of Rose Water by Dream Organics on her face and neck.  This sets the makeup and gives a fresh, dewy look to the skin.

I hope you have fun trying this look out.  Don’t forget to send me pics of yourself  so I can post them!

Xoxo, Mario ;-)

A look for spring

This image is from a beauty shoot that I worked on last month.  Beauty shoots have always been my favorite to work on.  Very few things make me happier then a good ol’ beauty shoot, LOL. I gave the model my interpretation of a modern spring look.  I was going for a look that was clean and modern, but also strong. I used minimal product and focused on defining her features softly.  How do you like the lip color I blended? Let me know in the comments if you’d like a breakdown for this look.  X0, Mario

ELLE BEAUTIES

I recently collaborated on this shoot for Elle Mexico with genius photographer Adrian Nina.  The story features ten “new girls.”   They are the industries new generation of models, and future supermodels.

I gave all of the girls a clean, light and fresh look.  Using Dior makeup,  I focused mainly on the skin and with a very soft hand, I defined the eyes on some girls using shadow and stained the center of their lips .  There was no bronzer,  lashes or liner in site!  I think doing this type of natural makeup is more challenging then doing a glam look.  What do you think?  Xo, Mario

Latest work – VanCleef & Arpels video.

VanCleef & Arpels – The Zip from Paradoxal Inc on Vimeo.

Check out this video I worked on for VanCleef & Arpels. It was directed by Armen Djerrahian who is one of my favorite directors. The amazing piece of jewelry featured is called The Zip. I used Eye M Glam highlighter on her cheekbones to give her skin that radiant glow ;-) Enjoy! Xo, Mario

Pretty in pink – Kim Kardashian cover shoot…

These beauty shots of Kim are so beautiful!  I just found the cover image the other day so I wanted to share it with all of you. The shot below is from the Fusion Beauty campaign that Kim and I worked on together.  Later that day, I changed her makeup for the shot above.  What do you think of the pink lips?  Can you guess which Lip Fusion gloss I used on Kim in the image above?  If so, leave a comment with your answer!  ;-)  xo, Mario
